Cailey & Josh

We love hearing our customers engagement stories so here is another one that was so touching. We love this love, don't be shy send us your proposal stories to be featured. This is what Cailey had to say when I asked her about how Josh proposed.

"Josh and I met ten years ago at a summer camp and I grew up having the biggest crush on him. It was not until two years ago that he finally asked me out on our first date. I had just found out that I was pregnant, so I told him that I did not think it would work out. He smiled and asked why that should change his feelings. I still remember getting milkshakes and then driving around till 3 AM just wasting gas and talking about anything we could come up with. He is a veteran so he pretends to be a big tough guy, but he is really the most kind-hearted person.

While I was in labor, he paced in front of the monitor for 12 hours just watching Kinsley's heartbeat. I realized at that moment that over the last year, he had not just fallen in love with me, but also with my baby, that he had not even met yet. On February 27, 2016 he held my hand as we welcomed Kinsley into the world, you could tell right away that no matter the circumstances she already had him wrapped around her finger.

We talked about our wedding, our house and our future so much that it was all I could think of. Waiting was excruciating! On December 23, 2016 we went to see a movie late at night, we exited the theater at 12:15 AM on Christmas Eve and he suggested that we go look at Christmas lights.

When we got there, I got out of the car before him, but I realized I needed a jacket so I went back to the car to grab one. For the last two weeks I had repeatedly thought to myself, “This is the moment, he is going to propose right now!” Just to realize that it was not. On the floor of the car was a cardboard ring box. Immediately I told myself “Cailey, do not get excited just to be disappointed in ten minutes. You are crazy, this is not happening.” After calming myself down, we went down by the pond. About five minutes later, he turned to me and got down on one knee. I had been waiting for this moment for so long, but now that it was here, I freaked out. I started nervously walking away! Josh called after me “Wait! Come back!” I turned around and he said the words I had been waiting to hear. He slid the ring on my finger and kissed me. We were married four months later on April 8, 2017 and we could not be a happier family!"

They make the most darling family and we are so happy to have them as customers and as friends. If you enjoyed this story please feel free to leave a comment.
